Question/Problem Question/Problem
How to Journal from Exchange 2013
Answer/Resolution Answer/Resolution

**Before starting, you will need your unique journaling address from a Smarsh technician. This is provided via email.

These instructions are intended for a technician who is familiar with managing a Microsoft Exchange server 2013.

Our technical support department is able to verify if your server's journal feed is actively sending messages to Smarsh. If journaling is not working, and it is determined there is an issue with your server, our ability to troubleshoot is limited. We will do our best to verify that our systems are working correctly and point you in the right direction to troubleshoot the problem.

To complete the rest of the setup please implement this instructed type of journaling.

Journaling Setup:

**Please be sure to follow the steps in this guide. Using either Database Level Journaling or Global Journaling will cause your Journaling Agent to archive system messages.
