  Outlook For Mac - POP3 Email Setup

First, click on the Outlook icon from the Apple Dock to launch Outlook program.

Once you launch Outlook, click on the Tools menu and select Accounts.

Under the Accounts window, click on E-Mail Account.

Next, fill in the POP3 Account email address and Password (if you don't know the password, the Authorized User for your company can provide it). Also, "Configure Automatically" should be left unchecked.


Fill in the user name as your full email address.

Choose POP as the account type.

Fill in the incoming and outgoing server information. (The server information is in the email Smarsh sent to you.)

[If the port numbers are greyed out, click on Override default port and fill in the correct port numbers. Also, click on Use SSL to connect for the incoming and outgoing servers.]


When you finish filling in all the account information, click Add Account.

So now that the account is created, click on "More Options" to complete the last steps of the setup.

Under the More Options window, select User Name and Password for Authentication.

Fill in your User Name as your full email address and fill in the email account password.  Leave "Unqualified domain" blank and click OK.

If all the information is correct, the email address is added to Outlook and you can start sending and receiving email.

Close the Accounts window and click on the Send Receive button in the upper left corner of the Main Outlook window.

Outlook generates a test email message to confirm that you have input the proper settings for your account.
