Common Questions:

What is my password?
Your password was set when your email account was created, and should have been provided to you. If you have never changed your password, ask your company administrator who set up the account for you what the default password is. We recommend changing your password to something unique that only you know.

If you don't know your password, your company administrator who set up your account should be able to reset it for you. If they are not able to help, please call Smarsh Support for assistance.

How do I change my password?
If you wish to reset your password, you will be required to follow these requirements:
Minimum of eight (8) characters in length and contain from at least three (3) of the following four (4) character types:
a. upper case alpha characters;
b. lower case alpha characters;
c. numeric characters;
d. special characters (e.g. !, $, @, etc.)

1) Log onto our webmail site at
2) Click "Options" at the top, then click "Change Password" in the menu on the left
3) Enter your old password, then enter and confirm your new password
4) Click the Save button at the top
5) If you also use an email program such as Microsoft Outlook, or a mobile device such as a Blackberry or iPhone, you will need to update your password there. In most cases, you will be prompted to enter your password the next time you check your email; if not, you may need to edit the account settings to change the password.
