  How do I change my email logon from name to full email address?

Change email account logon from name to full email address
 
Where to consider changing user name to full email address:
- Webmail
- Email Clients (ie... Outlook, Outlook Express, Mac Mail, Goldmine, Thunderbird, etc)
- Mobile Devices (ie: Blackberry's, Windows Mobile, Smart Phones, etc)
- Email interactive devices (ie: Scanners, Copiers, etc)
- Email interactive software (ie: CRM software, Accounting software, etc)
 
Webmail
Going forward please use your full email address as "User Name" when logging into webmail.
If using "Fast Login" option you will need to reset your username to use full email address.
 
Email Clients
 
- Outlook 2007-
1) Click Tools --> Account Settings
2) "Double click" on Smarsh account
3)  In email account settings page change properties change "User Name:" to full email address
4) Click "Next" button and "Finish" button to save settings
 
 
- Outlook 2003-
1) Click Tools --> Email Accounts
2) Click "Next" button to "view or change existing accounts"
3) "Double click" on Smarsh account
4)  In email account settings page change properties change "User Name:" to full email address
5) Click "Next" button and "Finish" button to save settings
 
 
- Outlook Express-
1) Click Tools - Accounts
2) Click "Next" button to "view or change existing accounts"
3) "Double click" on Smarsh account
4) Click on "servers" tab to change "User Name:" to full email address
5) Click "Apply" then "Close" button to save settings
 
Mobile Devices
 
- Blackberry- Delete and re-add Blackberry email synch account
**Note** You will need your Blackberry Internet Service / Personal Email Username and Password provided by your wireless service provider.
If you do not know the username or password please "click here"
 
1) On your blackberry click "Blackberry Setup" icon --> Click Personal Email Setup
2) Login to "Personal Email Setup"
(this is your personal email setup account with Blackberry / Your Mobile Provider- you must have your username and password as noted above)
3) Click "Email Accounts"
4) Under the correct account click "Delete" and confirm
5) Next choose to Add a new account
6) Type your email address and password then click Next
7) Choose "I will provide settings" and click Next
8) Choose "Internet Service Provider Email" and "I will provide settings" and click Next
9) Fill in Username (full email address) - password - Email Server - and Email Address and click Next
10) Your new account should be configured and ready for use
- Windows Mobile-
1) Click Start --> Programs --> "Messaging" --> "Messaging" (again)
2) In the select account window Click "Menu" --> "Options"
3) Click account "*server.smarsh.com"
4) Click "Edit Account Setup" and follow wizard by clicking Next --> Next --> Next
5) You will see a "User name" box where you can change the name to full email address
6) Click Next --> Next  --> Finish to save settings
 
Email Interactive Devices
 
- Scanners and Copiers-
Many scanners and copiers can be configured to send scanned documents via email. They typically require an account to send this information in which case their settings may need to be changed to use the full email address as well. Most of these devices can be configured through the buttons and LCD screen on the device itself. Some rely on a web based management interface. Consult your device manual or tech for additional information if needed.
 
Email Interactive Programs
 
- CRM and other miscellaneous communication programs-
Many communication programs can be configured to send email directly from them. They typically are configured under a "settings" and "Mail" option. Consult your software vendor manual or support for account change information.
